2. Course Overview
The philosophy of the Canadian Rockies Academy is very straightforward.
Our objective is to help you achieve the highest possible instructor qualification by providing high quality instruction in a fantastic Rocky Mountain location.
Our 11-week course at Marmot Basin, Jasper gives you the opportunity to sit both Level 1 and Level 2 CSIA or CASI qualifications.
We offer a fully inclusive programme including meals every day and accommodation in a high quality, comfortable and centrally located hotel. When you’re working this hard you need to be comfortable and well fed.
With a 1:8 group training ratio, 5 day- a- week on-mountain training, real work experience, instructor shadowing opportunities and a teaching team who have maintained a superb pass rate since The Academy began, this is simply the fullest, most rounded and best value course available.
And while we are sincere about helping you achieve Level 1 and Level 2 certification, the programme also provides first aid training and a snow safety avalanche awareness course.
By the end of your 11 weeks in Jasper you will have gained an all round experience that will be of huge benefit when you come to look for your first full time teaching position.
